Welcome to CupidJunction.com (the “Site”), an interactive match making service offered by Demand Entertainment, Inc. Demand Entertainment, Inc. created this privacy policy to demonstrate its firm commitment to protecting your personal information and informing you on how it’s handled. This privacy policy only applies to transactions and activities in which you engage, and data gathered, on the Site and to double blind email communications between registered users of Cupid Junction (“Users” or “Members”) but does not apply to any other Website or to offline point of contact between Demand Entertainment, Inc., or any other company, and consumers. Please review this privacy policy periodically as we may modify it from time to time. Each time you visit the Site or provide us with information, by doing so you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy at that time.

What user information is collected by Demand Entertainment, Inc. and how is this information used?

Information automatically collected.
We automatically collect and store the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet; the date and time you access the Site; your IP address; and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to the Site. We use this information to measure the number of visitors to the Site and to different sections of the Site, to better develop the Site to address our users' preferences and to attract new users, and, in some instances, to properly credit third-parties who refer users to the Site.

Information required for use of services.
In addition to the information we automatically collect any time a you visit the Site, we also ask you to provide certain information to take advantage of the services and features offered on the Site. In particular, when you register to use any Cupid Junction service, you will be asked for some general identifying information gathered for us to provide you with this individualized service. This information is not linked in any way to your personally identifiable information.

We use your contact information to send you valuable updates, timely notices of promotions, and mailbox status reports if you choose to have them sent to you. The Site provides you with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving different types of communications from us at any point. Your demographic (non-identifying) information is used to personalize your experience, to allow other members to find you through a search result, and to compose your personal profile, which is associated with an identity you have created.

As a Cupid Junction Member, you will, from time to time, be able to enter contests on the Site, sign up to receive or send electronic newsletters, greetings and other emails or content (such as weekly jokes), play games, and participate in chat rooms. We do not require you to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity as a condition of participation. We use the information collected to distribute the requested newsletter or other content, to notify contest winners, to enable password protected access to certain services and sections on the Site, and to provide whatever other service you authorize when you provide your contact information.

Information provided for online purchases.
Cupid Junction offers you the opportunity to purchase products or services. To complete such a transaction, you are asked to provide your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, credit card number and credit card expiration date. Once entered, this information may be shared with our agents, contractors, and service providers so they can provide credit card transaction authorization, customer support services, order fulfillment, and other services. We require entities with which we share your information for these purposes to keep your information confidential and not to use it for any other purpose. The information you provide to Cupid Junction when you order products and services is usually saved by the e-commerce site. When you choose to make future purchases through the Site, this information automatically appears in the appropriate spaces (i.e., the information fields are "pre-populated") on the web page within the site for placing orders.

Information requested and voluntarily provided.
Demand Entertainment, Inc. may occasionally poll you and other users of the Site and request background information, such as address, age range, gender, occupation, interests, hobbies, etc. (also known as demographic information). Also, in connection with signing up for, or subscribing to, the services and features offered on the Site, Demand Entertainment, Inc. may ask you to provide optional background information along with whatever other information is required. Use of Cookies and storage of user information.
The first time you provide an email address in connection with your activities on the Site, Demand Entertainment, Inc. assigns an identification number to that email address and, like most web sites, deploys a cookie to the your computer. Whenever you come back to the Site using the same computer, the cookie allows Demand Entertainment, Inc. to identify you and to recall your email address. Information collected through advertisements and links.

How does Demand Entertainment, Inc. protect user information?

How do we handle individually identifiable information collected from children under the age of 13 years old?

This site is directed to users 18 years or older. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to use the services of the Site or purchase products on the Site. Demand Entertainment, Inc. does not knowingly collect Personal Information about child under the age of 13 or allow them to use the services on the Site. If Demand Entertainment, Inc learns that a child under the age of 13 is using the services of the Site, Demand Entertainment, Inc will close the child's account and delete all information collected about the child.
